The brief was to create a social awareness campaign about Domestic Abuse when the man is the victim. The basis of the social awareness campaign is to inform about the different types of abuse that male victims may experience, though the main focus for the campaign is to encourage men to talk about what they experience. Cases with male abuse survivors are vastly under-reported, and only a handful seek help each year. For the campaign I created a logo, posters and billboard, as well as some ideas for unique brand touchpoints.
The name for the campaign is invisible. That is how men experience their abuse, it’s hidden, unseen. But through the campaign I hope to change that and therefore scratched the I and the N, turning invisible VISIBLE. For the slogan I wanted to include the goal for the campaign, to encourage men to start talking about the abuse, they have to BREAK THE SILENCE.
