Magnetic Magazine, an online publication based in Denver, wanted to create a printed version of their magazine to distribute globally at music festivals and art shows. The goal was to curate content from their website, providing a lasting impact and promoting travel to music festivals worldwide.
The challenge
The challenge was to bring Magnetic Magazine’s dynamic online presence into print while maintaining a cohesive, engaging design. The client wanted the magazine to offer more than just articles; they aimed to create multimedia experience with interactive elements, like audio and video links, encouraging readers to connect with their website and social media platforms.
Solution
The design of the magazine blends bold colors, dynamic compositions, and music-inspired imagery to create a visually striking and easy-to-navigate layout, with each of the four main articles color-coded for unique identities. An unconventional logo placement and six-column grid provide a creative structure that aligns with the innovative spirit of the music scene, while QR codes and links to multimedia content bridge the gap between print and digital, enhancing reader engagement. The final product effectively captures Magnetic Magazine’s brand identity, offering a cohesive and impactful design that resonates across both print and digital platforms.
